We had to make a movie poster using colour theory and including textual elements.
My chosen Haiku:
You stupid scarecrow! Under your very stick-feet Birds are stealing beans! - Yayu
For this poster, the suggested technique was Illustrator, InDesign and/or Photoshop (digital illustration). The software I used to make this movie poster was called Krita and this is my first attempt at using such software as I have only practiced with analogue drawing and painting. I chose to draw the crow as I find that it symbolizes destiny and fate which is my idea for this poster. I drew a crow referencing from photos of real life crows that I found on Unsplash.com.

For the background, I wanted to use a high contrasting hue to go with the dark shades of the crow itself. I played around with some different hues and picked a bright purple and orange as the top picks. As well as this, I implemented some white in hopes of opening up the colour scheme to new colours.
At this point, I have chosen the orange hue and have now started to experiment with the typography of the poster. I wanted the title and made up director's name to standout and wanted to keep the faux cast small as it would take away the attention from the crow. Here are pictures of what I came up with:
After putting all of these ideas together, I came up with this as my final movie poster.
